Vulnerability Overview

The wpForo Forum plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in versions up to, and including, 2.0.5. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access or higher, to mark any forum post as private/public.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.0.6, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
