The Security Optimizer – The All-In-One Protection Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to IP Allowlist Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.4. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to bypass IP based restrictions.

The attempt arrives as an ordinary request to Security Optimizer: WordSec's web application firewall inspects request payloads before WordPress loads them. None of that substitutes for the fix: Security Optimizer 1.6.5 closes this, and updating the plugin is the step that ends it.
