Vulnerability Overview

The miniOrange's Google Authenticator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass due to a missing capability check when changing plugin settings in versions up to, and including, 5.6.1. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions and above, to change the plugin's settings.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 5.6.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-862 (Missing Authorization) The product does not perform an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
