Vulnerability Overview

The Fancy Product Designer WordPress plugin is vulnerable to SQL Injection due to insufficient escaping and parameterization of the ID parameter found in the ~/inc/api/class-view.php file which allows attackers with administrative level permissions to inject arbitrary SQL queries to obtain sensitive information, in versions up to and including 4.7.4.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 4.7.5, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-89 (Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')) The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.
