Vulnerability Overview

Unvalidated input and lack of output encoding in the Envira Gallery Lite WordPress plugin, versions before 1.8.3.3, did not properly sanitise the images metadata (namely title) before outputting them in the generated gallery, which could lead to privilege escalation.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.8.3.3, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
