Vulnerability Overview

The WooFramework, used for all WooThemes for WordPress, is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in versions up to, and including, 5.3.9 via the shortcode preview feature. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers attackers to execute code on the server.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.3.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-94 (Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection')) The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment.
