Vulnerability Overview

The MediClinic theme for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in versions up to, and including, 2.1. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included.

Including an attacker-influenced file executes its contents, which is why this class is routinely chained with an upload or log-poisoning step to reach code execution. For MediClinic - Medical Healthcare WordPress Theme the fix is 2.2: builds <= 2.1 are affected, anything from 2.2 onward is not.
