Vulnerability Overview
The CarSpot – Dealership Wordpress Classified Theme for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object References in versions up to, and including, 2.2.3 via the 'ad_id' parameter passed via the sb_remove_ad AJAX action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete any posting, page, or ad.

CWE-284: Improper Access Control
CarSpot <= 2.2.3 carries this weakness at ad_id, and reaching it takes a caller who can reach the endpoint. Improper access control means the code decides what a caller may do using something other than their actual permissions, so the decision can be wrong without any check appearing to be missing.
Whoever can shape the request decides the answer, so the protected action runs for callers the code never meant to allow. For CarSpot the fix is 2.2.4: builds <= 2.2.3 are affected, anything from 2.2.4 onward is not.

Update to version 2.2.4, or a newer patched version

None of that substitutes for the fix: CarSpot 2.2.4 closes this, and updating the theme is the step that ends it.
