Vulnerability Overview
The WRC Pricing Tables plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized data modification due to a missing capability check on several functions including wrcpt_process_package_features, wrcpt_edit_pricing_packages, wrcpt_activate_template and others in versions up to, and including, 2.3.7. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to make settings changes via nopriv AJAX actions. This plugin was further hardened with appropriate capability checks along-side the nonce checks in version 2.4 so we recommend updating to that version for optimal protection.
Technical Analysis
The vector marks this flaw as remotely reachable over the network, with low attack complexity — no special timing or configuration is needed, and no privileges on the target site, and no interaction from a victim user.
CWE-862: Missing Authorization
Reaching this weakness in WRC Pricing Tables <= 2.3.7 takes a caller who can reach the endpoint. A missing authorization check means a function is reachable by anyone who can reach the endpoint, because the code never asks whether the caller is allowed to perform the action.
Any user who can reach the endpoint gets to run an action reserved for higher-privileged roles, from reading protected data to changing settings or content. For WRC Pricing Tables the fix is 2.3.8: builds <= 2.3.7 are affected, anything from 2.3.8 onward is not.

Update to version 2.3.8, or a newer patched version
