Vulnerability Overview

The wpDiscuz plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing authorization check on the voteOnComment function in versions up to, and including, 7.6.3. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to increase or decrease the rating of a comment.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 7.6.4, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
