Vulnerability Overview

The WP Time Slots Booking Form plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the data_management() function in versions up to, and including, 1.2.11. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to view slot data.

CWE-862: Missing Authorization

WP Time Slots Booking Form <= 1.2.11 carries this weakness at data_management(), and reaching it takes a caller who can reach the endpoint. A missing authorization check means a function is reachable by anyone who can reach the endpoint, because the code never asks whether the caller is allowed to perform the action.

Any user who can reach the endpoint gets to run an action reserved for higher-privileged roles, from reading protected data to changing settings or content. For WP Time Slots Booking Form the fix is 1.2.12: builds <= 1.2.11 are affected, anything from 1.2.12 onward is not.

Update to version 1.2.12, or a newer patched version
