Vulnerability Overview

The WordPress Security Firewall, Malware Scanner, Secure Login and Backup plugin before 4.2.1 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, leading to malicious users with administrator privileges to store malicious Javascript code leading to Cross-Site Scripting attacks when unfiltered_html is disallowed (for example in multisite setup)

REMEDIATION: Update to version 4.2.1, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
