Vulnerability Overview

The Simple User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access to the user deletion feature due to a missing capability check in all versions up to, and including, 5.5. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary users.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 6.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-862 (Missing Authorization) The product does not perform an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
