Vulnerability Overview

The WP FEvents Book plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data, modification of data, and loss of data due to insufficient controls on the userID controlled via the showform_fevent6 function in versions up to, and including, 0.46. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with minimal permissions such as a subscriber, to manipulate booking data for any user.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 0.47, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
