Vulnerability Overview

The WP Cleanfix plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery to Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to, and including, 3.0.1. This is due to missing nonce validation in the 'wpCleanFixAjax.php' file. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to gain otherwise restricted access to achieve remote code execution via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.0.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
