Vulnerability Overview

The WP eStore plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via Category Editing in all versions up to, and including, 8.5.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 8.5.5, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
