Vulnerability Overview

The WP ALL Export Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the cc_sql parameter in versions up to, and including, 1.7.8. This allows low-level attackers (depending on whether they have been given permission to perform SQL queries) to to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. While the plugin defaults to allow only administrators to perform such queries, they can also delegate this task to lower-privileged users.

Reaching this weakness in WP All Export Pro <= 1.7.8 takes any authenticated account. SQL injection happens when request data is concatenated into a query instead of being bound as a parameter, letting an attacker change the structure of the statement rather than just its values.

A working injection can read any table the database user can see, which on a WordPress install means user records, password hashes and session or API secrets stored in options. For WP All Export Pro the fix is 1.7.9: builds <= 1.7.8 are affected, anything from 1.7.9 onward is not.

Update to version 1.7.9, or a newer patched version

How does WordSec protect against this?

The attempt arrives as an ordinary request to WP All Export Pro: WordSec's web application firewall inspects request payloads before WordPress loads them. None of that substitutes for the fix: WP All Export Pro 1.7.9 closes this, and updating the plugin is the step that ends it.
