Vulnerability Overview

The WooCommerce GoCardless Gateway plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in versions up to, and including, 2.5.6. This is due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to cancel guest orders or expose sensitive information about an order.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.5.7, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
