Vulnerability Overview

The NP Quote Request for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.179 due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the content of quote requests.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.9.180, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
