Vulnerability Overview

The Visual Portfolio, Photo Gallery & Post Grid plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to CSS injection via the REST API in versions up to, and including, 2.17.0. This allows unauthenticated users to inject arbitrary CSS into saved layouts.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.18.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-74 (Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component ('Injection')) The product constructs all or part of a command, data structure, or record using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify how it is parsed or interpreted when it is sent to a downstream component.
