Vulnerability Overview

The Broadcast Live Video – Live Streaming : WebRTC, HLS, RTSP, RTMP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 6.2.4. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on a function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to perform an unauthorized action granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 6.2.5, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
