Vulnerability Overview

The Text Hover WordPress plugin before 4.2 does not sanitize and escape the text to hover, which could allow high privilege users to perform Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 4.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
