Vulnerability Overview

There is functionality in the Store Locator Plus for WordPress plugin through 5.5.15 that made it possible for authenticated users to update their user meta data to become an administrator on any site using the plugin.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 5.7, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-269 (Improper Privilege Management) The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor.
