Vulnerability Overview

The Client Invoicing by Sprout Invoices – Easy Estimates and Invoices for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 20.8.0 due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to act on objects they shouldn't be able to manipulate.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 20.8.1, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
