Vulnerability Overview

Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in classes/ajax.php in the Smarty Pants Plugins SP Project & Document Manager plugin (sp-client-document-manager) 2.4.1 and earlier for WordPress allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) vendor_email[] parameter in the email_vendor function or id parameter in the (2) download_project, (3) download_archive, or (4) remove_cat function.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.4.4, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-89 (Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')) The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.
