Vulnerability Overview

The Social Auto Poster plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 5.3.14. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on multiple functions. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to add, modify, or delete post meta and plugin options.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 5.3.15, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
