Vulnerability Overview

The MC Woocommerce Wishlist plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the delete_item() function in versions up to, and including, 1.7.8. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to remove items from wishlists.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.7.9, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-862 (Missing Authorization) The product does not perform an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
