Vulnerability Overview

The Sitewide Notice WP WordPress plugin before 2.3 does not sanitise some of its settings before outputting them in frontend pages, allowing high privilege users to perform Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.3, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
