Vulnerability Overview

The Simple Social Media Share Buttons WordPress plugin before 3.2.4 does not escape the Share Title settings before outputting it in the frontend pages or posts (depending on the settings used), allowing high privilege users to perform Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.2.4, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
