Vulnerability Overview

The Restricted Site Access plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to IP Spoofing in versions up to, and including, 7.3.1 due to prioritizing getting a visitor's IP from certain HTTP headers over PHP's REMOTE_ADDR. This makes it possible to bypass IP-based limitations in certain situations.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 7.3.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
