Vulnerability Overview

The Better Find and Replace – AI-Powered Suggestions plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Limited Code Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.7. This is due to insufficient input validation and restriction on the 'rtafar_ajax' function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to call arbitrary plugin functions and execute code within those functions.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.7.8, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-94 (Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection')) The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment.
