An issue was discovered in the read-and-understood plugin 2.1 for WordPress. XSS exists via the wp-admin/options-general.php rnu_username_validation_pattern parameter.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
