Vulnerability Overview

The Quiz And Survey Master plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to insecure direct object reference in versions up to, and including, 7.3.6. This is due to insufficient validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with author-level capabilities and above to reset and delete quizzes.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 7.3.7, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
