Vulnerability Overview
The Quiz Maker plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via spoofed IP headers in all versions up to, and including, 6.7.0.56 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This is only exploitable in configurations where the server is set up to retrieve the IP from a user-supplied field like `X-Forwarded-For` and limit users by IP is enabled.

Reaching this weakness in Quiz Maker by AYS <= 6.7.0.56 takes no account at all. SQL injection happens when request data is concatenated into a query instead of being bound as a parameter, letting an attacker change the structure of the statement rather than just its values.
A working injection can read any table the database user can see, which on a WordPress install means user records, password hashes and session or API secrets stored in options. For Quiz Maker by AYS the fix is 6.7.0.57: builds <= 6.7.0.56 are affected, anything from 6.7.0.57 onward is not.

Update to version 6.7.0.57, or a newer patched version

None of that substitutes for the fix: Quiz Maker by AYS 6.7.0.57 closes this, and updating the plugin is the step that ends it.
