Vulnerability Overview

The Profile Builder – User Profile & User Registration Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 3.6.4. This is due to missing nonce validation on the wppb_pbie_import() & wppb_pbie_export_our_json() functions. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to import and export plugin settings via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.6.5, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-862 (Missing Authorization) The product does not perform an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
