Vulnerability Overview

The PowerPack Pro for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.10.14. This is due to plugin not properly restricting who can set roles on the user registration form. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create user accounts that have administrative level permissions.

Because it turns on account access, WordSec's login security is the relevant layer: role-based two-factor, captcha and brute-force limits raise the cost of getting the account this needs. None of that substitutes for the fix: PowerPack Pro for Elementor 2.10.15 closes this, and updating the plugin is the step that ends it.
