Vulnerability Overview
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Postie plugin before 1.4.10 for WordPress allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the From field of an email. A partial fix was deployed in version 1.4.4 but this was easily bypassed.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.4.10, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
