CVE-2023-39995Vulnerability Overview
The Portfolio and Projects plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 1.3.7. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the 'wpos_anylc_admin_init_process' function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to dismiss admin notices via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Technical Analysis
REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.3.8, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-862 (Missing Authorization) The product does not perform an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
