Vulnerability Overview

The Frontend File Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the _template_uploader.php file in versions up to, and including, 3.5. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level permissions and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected sites server which may make remote code execution possible.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.6, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-434 (Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type) The product allows the upload or transfer of dangerous file types that are automatically processed within its environment.
