Vulnerability Overview

The Newsletter Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Open Redirect in versions up to, and including, 1.4. This is due to improper validation of the 'appurl' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to redirect traffic to a potentially malicious arbitrary website.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.5, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-601 (URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect')) The web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a redirect.
