Vulnerability Overview

The WooCommerce Checkout Field Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to insufficient file type validation in the cfom_upload_file function in versions up to, and including, 17.3. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 18.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-434 (Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type) The product allows the upload or transfer of dangerous file types that are automatically processed within its environment.
