Vulnerability Overview

The myCred – Points Management System For Gamification, Ranks, Badges, and Loyalty Rewards Program. plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a race condition in all versions up to, and including, 2.9.4.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to perform some action they should not be able to.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.9.4.4, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-362 (Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')) The product contains a concurrent code sequence that requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence operating concurrently.
