The MultiSafepay plugin for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file read in versions up to, and including, 4.15.0 via the log_filename parameter. This is due to insufficient file path validation. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files on the server, including sensitive configuration files like wp-config.php.
Technical Analysis
REMEDIATION: Update to version 4.16.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-22 (Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')) The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
