Vulnerability Overview

Metronet Tag Manager version 1.2.7 contains a Cross site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in Settings page /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=metronet-tag-manager that allows anybody to do almost anything an admin can. This attack appear to be exploitable via Logged in user must following a link. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 1.2.9.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.2.9, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
