Membership For WooCommerce <= 3.1.0 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Deletion
Strategic Overview
<= 3.1.0CVE-2026-57709Vulnerability Overview
The Membership For WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the [function-name] function in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.0. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
Technical Analysis
REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.1.1, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-22 (Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')) The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
