Mantenimiento web <= 0.8 - Cross-Site Request Forgery
Strategic Overview
<= 0.8CVE-2022-38075Vulnerability Overview
The Mantenimiento web plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 0.8. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the vista_configuracion() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the plugin's settings and inject malicious JavaScripts via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. While the official CVE records indicates this was present in versions up to 0.13, we found that this functionality was only vulnerable up to version 0.9.
Technical Analysis
REMEDIATION: Update to version 0.9, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
