Vulnerability Overview

The plugin Mailchimp for WooCommerce for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery via one of its AJAX actions in versions up to, and including, 2.7.1. This makes it possible for an attacker with administrator privileges to send requests to the internal network.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.7.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-918 (Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)) The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination.
