Vulnerability Overview

The Logo Slider plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via numerous shortcodes in versions up to, and including, 3.5.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'lgx_output_function_dep' function. This makes it possible for contributor-level attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.6.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
