Vulnerability Overview

The Kali Forms — Contact Form & Drag-and-Drop Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.16 due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to expose post metadata.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.4.17, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
