Vulnerability Overview

The Simple Calendar – Google Calendar Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.9 due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to perform an unauthorized action.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.6.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
